When should I review my estate plan?

Review your estate plan every three to five years, and right away after major life events like marriage, divorce, a new child, a death, a big financial change, or a move to another state. Laws and tax rules change too, so a periodic check keeps everything current. Beneficiary designations especially tend to get out of date.
